The conference being organized by ISRO with the support of DIT and MOH&FW Gov. of India in Bangalore from March 17 to 19, 2005. With the increasing range of V-SAT and optical cable connectivity, backed by wireless supplementary connectivity and accompanied by decreasing cost , telemedicine is becoming a more and more feasible tool to deliver quality health care to rural India.
This conference is primarily held to integrate the efforts put in by various Departments, Agencies, Hospitals, Institutions and Organizations and bring good visibility and awareness among all the Health Care Providers, Doctors and Administrators about the benefit of adopting the technology base health Care Delivery System and evolve a set of recommendations to the Government for establishment of the same much to the benefit of the under-served rural population in a cost effective manner.
