  • Mr.Satyamurthy is presently: - CEO of Medetel Health, a Health Care Division of Vikas Global Solutions Ltd, Bangalore
    - President Telemedicine Society of India(TSI)
    - Member - Academic Senate , Vishweshwraiah Technological University(VTU), Karnataka state 
  • He has about 40 years of distinguished service in Space technology and applications including Telemedicine /e Health at the Indian Space Research organization (ISRO), Bangalore.
  • Mr. Satyamurthy who served as the Program Director, Telemedicine at ISRO (now Retd ) has made significant contributions in establishing Telemedicine services through Satcom based Telemedicine Network in 400 hospitals- 350 Remote/Rural District/Medical College Hospitals including 15 Mobile units, 200 Village Resource Centres connected to 50 Specialty Hospitals all over the Country.
  • This effort of implementation of Telemedicine program in India and bringing all the stake holders on a common platform, culminated in the formation of National Task Force by the Government of India’s Ministry of Health for formulating Policies and guideline for overall implementation Telemedicine in the country..
  • He has published a number of papers on Telemedicine/ e-Health in the National and International Journals/ Books and has made presentations on the experiences of implementing Telemedicine in India. He has lectured in several forums all over the country, popularizing telemedicine.
  • He is the recipient of the  Award of Excellence from Honorable Prime Minister of India for his  outstanding contributions in implementing Satcom based Telemedicine Program and  beginning a new era of Health Care delivery in India.
  • He served as the Scientific Diplomat- Counselor of Space Technology at the Embassy of India, Washington D.C. USA from 1993-98.
  • He was the Member of the Board of Governors for International Telecommunication Satellite Organization (INTELSAT), Washington D.C, during 1993-98 representing the Signatory of Government of India. He also served as INDIAN Representative in the United Nations, New York during 1997.
  • He was honored in 1997 by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) , USA,  for his Global views and Fruitful efforts to strengthen cooperation between India and the United States of America.
  • He is the recipient of the Aryabhata international Award instituted by a Socio Cultural organization in the year2009 for his societal contribution through Telemedicine.
